About
BENJAMIN KAHLE DRE #01951554
Newly Appointed Commissioner to The Los Angeles County Historical Records and Landmarks Commission
I started in real estate many years ago, while working full time in the advertising industry. I obtained my real estate license in 2014, with the sole intention being to purchase an investment property for myself as a long term investment. I wanted to learn, have more control, and had been off put by my pervious experiences dealing with realtors.
My first transaction as a licensed realtor was my own 4-unit apartment building. Shortly thereafter, friends began asking for help to buy properties of their own. At first I was reluctant, but I quickly fell in love with the process of helping, and using my personal experience to help guide other families into their dreams.
At the same time, I became very entangled in the world of historic preservation, and many in the preservation world began reaching out to me for real estate help as they wanted to work with someone who understood the intricacies of historic architecture, historic districts, the rules, and most importantly, had the same passions for original character. The rest is history...
I am proud to be able to bring a humble wealth of experience to clients interested in historic, modern and architectural properties. My wife, Son and I currently reside in the renowned historic Doumakes House, the first historic landmark (Landmark #1), and the first home to be awarded Mills Act in all of Unincorporated Los Angeles County. In 2013, I co-founded View Park Conservancy, a non-profit organization which led a three year initiative to have the View Park neighborhood of Los Angeles listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which was passed in July of 2016. Comprised of nearly 1800 homes, View Park neighborhood is the largest National Register historic district in the Country based on African American history, and the largest in California in terms of total property owners. I was fortunate enough to have been awarded a 2017 LA Conservancy Preservation Award for excellence in Los Angeles historic preservation.
Over the past 5 years I have been an advisor to several neighborhoods and HOA’s working towards historic designation for their neighborhoods. I have also become an advisor and resource for clients and homeowners interested in historical remodels or restorations. My clients become lifelong friends and are generally cut from the same cloth; Humble yet savvy individuals who are passionate about architecture and want to maximize their situation in the best way possible for their families.
In my humble experience, in 2022, a realtor needs to be the whole package. My background of 15 years in the advertising industry combined with owning, buying, selling, fixing up, obtaining loans and managing historical properties and apartment buildings allows me to bring a well rounded experience from several facets of real estate, from being competitive in a sellers market, to remodeling, securing financing, managing tenants and forward thinking marketing plans, I bring a well rounded and realistic set of knowledge in order to help you achieve your goals.
In 2018 I was appointed as a Commissioner to The Los Angeles County Historical Records and Landmarks Commission.

ERIN KEEGAN CalDRE 02098512
Craftsman & Historic Property Specialist, and Fellow Insane Old House Lover
For those that know her, it's no surprise what drew Erin to real estate. Her obsession for historic architecture has gained her a reputation as a knowledgeable resource for historic neighborhoods, researching old homes, restoration, and preservation. Whether it was the Colonial and Victorian homes of her New Jersey hometown, the Federal and Gothic Revival style homes during her years in Philadelphia, or the Craftsman bungalows of Los Angeles, her fascination with architecture has always inspired her to take the long way home in search of unique properties.
In 2008, she moved to South LA for its rich history and beautiful homes. After purchasing a 1913 Craftsman, she continued to scan real estate inventory for interesting properties on a daily basis. Due to her extensive knowledge, including HPOZ guidelines and Mills Act benefits, many peers began to seek her guidance in selecting and maintaining their old homes.
Erin prides herself on being sensitive to the emotional components of buying or selling a home, and is committed to gently supporting each client throughout the process. She strives to provide clarity and calm throughout the biggest transaction of their lives.
When not serving her clients, Erin can be found restoring her home, camping and hiking with her husband Tim and their two dogs T-Bone and Olive, and volunteering for local dog rescue Angel City Pit Bulls. She continues to discover new historic pockets of Los Angeles on foot while training for her next marathon.
